what type of games are they? I am all about getting stuff for free when you can because why pay for it when others don't. Its kind of the American way I am finding out, its all about connections and hookups. now you have hooked me up so thanks

I am glad to hear that you are getting things free. I have to say when I get free things and even more importantly free help, I truly appreciate it a lot. What is the best type of software you have gotten so far?

You're right, Dave, they need to make the explanation a bit more prominent on the site. As I mentioned in the second comment here, they do explain that on their About Page.

I have had no problems with the software I've gotten there. So far, that is. I've downloaded and used about a dozen programs over the past month or so. I waited to give it a fair shot before blogging about it because I'd hate to recommend something that was harmful to anyone computer. I guess we're all skeptical these days, huh?

Thanks for those suggestions but that blogspot link doesn't work. I got a 404 page from it. that's too bad because I'm always looking for good freeware sites.

My first experience with Linux was Red Hat where I used to work. I did load it on my old P133 but then wanted to try Ubuntu. When that didn't work I went to DSL.

I'll have to look into xubuntu. I have another old machine running 98 sitting unused at my mom's house. I need to get that from her and load something else on it.
