Treasure Hunt

You never know what you’ll find at yard sales and flea markets. I stopped by one last week, just because it was right on the road but there was convenient parking, too. Besides, there was lots of stuff displayed and you just never know when you might find a real treasure. I didn’t, but I did find two working radar detectors. That may not seem very significant except that those have been illegal in this state and the surrounding states for about a decade. It was kind of a blast from the past.

I didn’t get anything from that yard sale but I did remind myself that I need to stop by those more often. It’s fun looking through other people’s junk. And I haven’t given up on finding that treasure yet, anyway.

Clothes can be cleaned. And there’s now way to buy brand new vintage clothing. I’m all about vintage. :)

I too went to the flea market about a month ago. I wasn’t planning on purchasing anything but I ended up buying these cheap game pad for my pc. When I got home, I hooked it up to my pc and played some old arcade games. It was fun. Who knows what I will pick up next time? :)

I’d love to find an old commodore64. that would be cool.

Really? Why is that? I find all kinds of electronics stuff at yard sales.

I love to go to these markets to look for old coins.
If it’s an old folks stuff, it makes me more eager since there are better chances of me getting pre-war stuff.

I’ve always like antiques, vintage or just things from the past. Monetary value doesn’t matter. I like to imagine the history of the item. New isn’t always better.

Aww, radar detectors. Whenever I hear that I think of driving up to the mountains to ski while my father’s radar detector bleeps on and off. Yes, the good old days.
