Finding Good Broadband
Those who read my other blog will know that I’ve had some big trouble with my DSL lately. Tech support has left quite a bit to be desired. In fact, having done tech support for seven years, I know that these people were simply reading a script rather than thinking through the problem.
I’ve searched online for broadband options but couldn’t really find a site that was easy to navigate. I did find such a site for those living in Great Britain, though, and I wished I could find something similar here. Cheap Broadband would be nice but at this point I’d settle for any broadband that actually works, at any price! This site makes it so easy to find the right service for you budget, I can’t help but wonder why no one has thought of something like this for those of us on this side of the pond. Nevertheless, much of the info on this site is valuable no matter where you live.
If you’re in Great Britain, be sure to check out how easy it is to compare broadband companies. And no matter where you live, be sure to read through their very informative article section. Good stuff!

If you’re in Australia there is something similar called Whirlpool Forums that are pretty good if you’re trying to compare services. Not sure if they go international though?
Thanks for sharing that!
I recently just got Comcast high speed Internet here in the US for about $30 USD and I’ve been pretty satisfied
I have friends who are very happy with Comcast.
Especially in the world where most support is outsourced how many times do we en up talking to somebody who has no idea what we are talking about.
In my case, just about every day.
I checked out the site, and iIt has amazing finds– some of which I never thought would still exist. Thanks for the tip! I couldn’t agree with you more.
You’re very welcome. I’m glad you found it valuable!
Thanks for that! I’ve been stuck with Pipex who are ripping me for £32 a month for a 2mb pipe.. I’ve been meaning to change for ages and you just inspired me to!
I’ve tagged and faved you, all the best
Technorati Train
Hope i got response
Best regards

I must say living in the United States we have terribly slow broadband. Sure I can watch streaming video but the pipes over here are nothing compared to countries like Japan.
Never been to Japan but now I wish I was there. Verizon DSL is awful.
I have been looking to switch broadband companies for a while and I think I may just do it pretty soon. This has really helped!
Thanks.
You’re welcome Jack. Hope you find the best deal in your vicinity!
I have been having broadband problems myself for the past 3months and have come to a conclusion that , you can’t just have 1 broadband in India and survive if you are a net person like me .
So now i have Tata Indicom and Airtel - both
Isn’t that very expensive? If you pay for service, you ought to get that service. You shouldn’t have to spend more for what you’ve already paid for.
Well, I dont live in Great Britain or have never been there but am sure you would be unaware of the hassles we have here in India to get a quality connection. Am from Pune India which is very well a mini metro, but being in the Internet Solutions industry myself, I do get agitated sometimes when internet service providers are unable to provide with quality connections in certain areas.
I think it’s that way everywhere. My broadband is hit and miss. It’s up for a while, then it’s down for several hours. I’ve lost the connection for almost an entire day once. there’s no reason for it, there’s no pattern. I don’t think it’s just your country. It’s every broadband company and the stranglehold they have on all of us who want to be online and will accept their horrendous service rather than go without.
