My broadband is hit and miss. It's up for a while, then it's down for several hours. I've lost the connection for almost an entire day once. there's no reason for it, there's no pattern. I don't think it's just your country. It's every broadband company and the stranglehold they have on all of us who want to be online and will accept their horrendous service rather than go without. Am from Pune India which is very well a mini metro, but being in the Internet Solutions industry myself, I do get agitated sometimes when internet service providers are unable to provide with quality connections in certain areas.
