30 days of raw foods...this is interesting and sounds like it would work. I agree with Marisa. The caffeine kick is going to be hard.

Is crack considered a living food? If not, I'll need to find another plan......

JUST KIDDING

Crack is whack.

Okay, now this is interesting. I know all about every diet out there but the idea of a 30-day "tune-up" really appeals to me.

Raw food, lots of water. I'm assuming no caffeine so I'll need two days to get past the headache. I'm going to do a little research and then give this a shot. Can't hurt; might work.

I read that book. I tried it but didn't have much success. I'm still trying low carb but no luck. I don't cheat; I do have will power. My body is just betraying me. Aging is a bitch.

I was in a similar boat where things I had done before weren't working. I got stuck somehow so I needed something different.

Try a tune up. Experiment with a strict living foods for 30 days. You'll kick start your digestion while improving your immune system. You'll also become very aware of how your body/mind reacts to foods. I think 30 days is easier to commit than permanent. You can then do periodic tune ups (say every 3 or 4 months, do a 30 day tune up w/living foods).

By living foods -- it means raw, uncooked vegetables. For me, I needed low maintenance, so I found a local organic, fresh juice shop. I had a juice for breakfast and lunch. For dinner I had salads or uncooked rice (you can soak in water) w/various sides, like peppers. For snacks I had mostly nuts. For sweets I had nuts, raw honey, and cinamon.

You can have some amazing effects. For example, I shed my skin. Friends thought I found the fountain of youth.

This isn't a get in shape quick path. The first week is brutal (at least it was for me). However, it was different than anything I tried and it worked great.

Once you're *tuned up*, consider focusing your workout on building muscle. It's tough to build muscle, but if you do, you'll change your body in a way that's more self-maintaining.

I feel your pain!

I can remember having a little fun with my dad about his weight when I was 14 or so. He was quick to remind me, my day would come. Of course I thought, NEVER, not me.

Now I am sitting here at 31 years old and 40 lbs overweight and miserable......

Everyone has something for sale that will make you fit. The best thing I ever tried was a book called Body for Life. It really works and doesn't teach unhealthy eating habits like Adkins or the Starve Yourself to Fitness Diet. In the first two weeks of doing the Body for Life program I lost 15lbs and felt so much better. I stuck to it for at least 6 weeks and then back to the Yohoos and snack cakes.

Are you tracking the amount of calories you eat? The best way to lose weight is to eat less than you burn.
