If legislators really want to make a change, they should require owners of "Dangerous Dogs" to take out an insurance policy or mandatory Obedience classes. These would be steps in the right direction. The breed is actually one of the most loyal and loving of all the breeds. Pits only have the misfortune of being selected by less than desirable owners with less than desirale intentions. We should not make the breed or those who love them suffer because a few individuals torment the dogs to the point of aggression. On the personal front the worst damage I have seen inflicted by a dog on a human was done by a Dalmation. So singling one breed out for punishment is just unfair!
