I don’t think you’re giving your dog enough credit. Just owning a dog will cause would be thieves to think twice. Invariably anyone who is thinking about robbing you has scoped out your house and neighbourhood, if one house has a dog and the one next door doesn’t which do you think more likely to get burgled? I’ve been told by Police the dog is the best security system you can have, even a happy friendly dog can bring unwanted attention on an intruder.
