The Worst Roommates

Have you ever had a roommate? I went from my mother’s home to an apartment with my husband. There have been times when I wondered if I missed something by not moving out of my parents’ home and perhaps sharing an apartment with a roommate. After reading about the roommates that some people have, though, I’m grateful that I skipped that particular right of passage.

Before clicking over to that blog, be aware that some of the photos are nasty. A couple are a bit risque. Most made me laugh. What’s shocking, though, is that there are people who actually behave in such a rude and inconsiderate fashion.

This blog is kind of new but it’s being updated regularly and you really don’t want to miss any of the entries. Most of the roommates being reported must have stocked up on Wicked tickets. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to share a taxi ride with them, let alone living space! Take a look and tell me which one is your favorite. Or, uh, worst nightmare!

Monday Morning Fun

I found this again today. It’s old and I’d forgotten about it. All I can say is that there are some very clever marketing and advertising people out there. And I must confess that part of the appeal is that I love secret or hidden passageways and rooms.

More on that thought later. For now, to start off the workweek, something to make you smile.

Sometimes You Just Want To Look At The Pictures

This site isn’t the most elegant. I could think of a hundred and one ways to design it better. But when you’ve got all these great photos you can just put them out there and wait for others to find them. I did, after all. And now that you’ve found them, go ahead and find your favorites.

I know some of you will love the aircraft malfunctions and others will be fascinated by the fires and construction accidents. Me? I like the signs. I’m always amazed that no one is proof reading signs that are out in public. Or newspaper headlines. But that could be good, too, because that’s what gives me a little chuckle when I take a break from all the serious stuff online.

Which pictures do you enjoy the most?

Weekend Funny

Time to share another of my favorite “for laughs” websites. Like most of my best humor picks, it’s all about finding entertainment in real life. Because real life is truly stranger than fiction.

I love New York. It’s been years since I’ve been there but it left quite an impact on me. And yes, the people there are quite interesting. I don’t mean just the nativie New Yorkers but everyone who finds their way their.

And what better way to spend some free time than eavesdropping on the everyday people of New York City? Overheard In New York does just that. People all over the city keep their ears at attention, listening for the entertaining, absurd or just plain hilarious. They submit these gems to the site for our enjoyment.

Even if you can’t visit New York City you can still enjoy that special “something” that the city offers. You can still spend time wth the colorful and interesting people who make New York such a great place to visit.
