Weren’t we supposed to see the paperless office taking hold across the country by now? I remember reading about it years ago. And yet, my office desks is cluttered with paper of every kind. I have paper receipts, paper bills, paper invoices. And of course, there are paper sticky notes.

I guess the paperless office was a myth. Or perhaps its time has not yet come.

Every so often I get in the mood to move furniture around. I do it with just about every room in the house. Well, except for my office, that is. You see, my office furniture is very big and heavy so moving it once is quite a chore.

I really need some software that allows me to do an office makeover on my screen, and then do a virtual walkthrough, so I can know that when I move these huge pieces they’ll be exactly right. Off to search for just the right freeware…

Sometimes I walk through my house and wonder what I was thinking when we built this place. We did some things so right but totally missed the mark on other things.

We put ceiling fans in every bedroom, the living room and even on the back porch. We didn’t put one in the kitchen, dining room or my office. How dumb was that? I mention it now becasue this office is very stuffy and in dire need of a fan.

Let’s put that on my “Need To Get” list. Yes, a fan for my office is going to be a priority.

I thought I lost my very expensive teak wood pen that I got in Hawaii. I couldn’t find it anywhere. I was stuck using one of Maggie’s bic pens for over a week. I didn’t mind the quality of the pen but just knowing I didn’t have my special pen just about killed me.

And then I ran the vacuum in my office. That meant that I had to move my computer towers around and there, under my giant Antec case, was my teakwood pen. So I put it in my dresser drawer to keep it safe.
